Just to be safe, I don't eat/drink any citrus when I take meds.

One study thus far has shown that, unlike grapefruit, interactions with statins are not likely with tangelos. Although the tangelo is derived from a grapefruit crossed with a tangerine, the furocoumarins in grapefruit are apparently not expressed in tangelos
My friend's husband is able to eat these with no problems, but can not have grapefruit. If all else consulting your doctor would be advisable.

I'm on a statin medication and been told NOT to eat grapefruit.
I have watched them quite often on the Q including yesterday twice
and I have never heard them say one thing about it.

That would be under the umbrella of giving medical advice- something they won't do.

There might be some confusion. What they DO do is talk about how it's a hybrid fruit with grapefruit. What they don't do is to make advisements about medications. The onus for knowing such things would be on the patient and doctor.
Also, we get tangelos in the grocery store and these Honeybells are so totally not the same. They are much nicer - at least when I purchased them for a few years. I haven't gotten them for the last 2-3 years.

It's not their job to say anything about it. That's YOUR job, the patient's job to know what to take, and what not to take with their meds.
QVC aren't doctors. They would be sued up the wazoo if they even dared to give out anything even close to medical advice, which is exactly what they would be doing if they mentioned anything about Honeybells and statins.

LOL, I think people want warnings like cialis commercials.
