I've been making my own homemade yogurt. I make it the way she does in the microwave. I warm my oven to 200 degrees F, and put the cooled and culture-added yogurt in a warm Dutch oven, covered with plastic wrap and a towel. Turn the oven off, I leave the oven light on overnight. I strain the whey in a stainless steel colander, lined with coffee filters. Save the whey for baking and protein smoothies!
I'm fortunate that I have glass Pyrex pitcher, just like in the video-but I wonder if those of you that got the KA stand mixer with the glass bowl, could just that bowl. Laura said it was microwave safe.
