Home made non-dairy milk flavors.

So, while TT are on-I'm in the kitchen. I made two tasty Vitamix batches of oat milk.

1. Oat milk

    cinnamon

     frozen blueberries

2. Oat milk

     canned pumpkin

     pumpkin pie spice

     maple syrup

Reminds me of fall flavors!

Wow, those sound delicious.  I haven't tried oat milk before.  I have had success with Silk cashew milk and their new coconut flavor.  So far this is the ONLY thing I can use on a regular basis and not have severe cramps.  I wonder if they will be making yogurt, I'm very impatiently waiting to see it in our stores.

I've not seen oat milk at our stores, can you buy it?

I make my own. Steel cut oats and water. I rinse the oats then soak overnight in water. I use about a 3:1 ratio of water to oats in the Vitamix. It doesn't have the preservatives or thickeners as commercial non-dairy milks.

You can always 'jazz up' your store bought milks, too!

Here's another drink that could be made in the Vitamix.  It's a Mexican specialty made from rice that looks like milk.  I've seen it served in restaurants here in Albuquerque and asked a server what it was.  She gave me a sample and I was hooked.
