Our 10 and 14 year old GS's are spending 3 days with us while their parents go to a cabin.

They came with their dinner and ate about 6.  When we ate later, I thought it quite something that they turned down the grilled hamburger, but wanted SLAW!  They have always eaten well for me.

@January121 Absolutely!  The 14 yr old stays in the kitchen a lot.  He's learning how to cook!Smiley Happy

@ECBG   Your grandsons have good taste.

My one granddaughter loves slaw.  She can make it better than I can.   She once asked if she could make it by herself...with my permission, she did.

I asked who taught her..it was my sister who used to babysit her after school when she was much younger.  Maybe some day, she'll take over my kitchen.

Oh, by the way, boy's your grandsons age will eat you out of house and home.  I don't know where they put it.  Have fun this weekend.

Oh Honey!  Don't I know they'll eat!  We reared two boys, our younger son was 6' 4", which neither of these boys will be.  The older one, named for him, looks so much like he did.

Boys that age can eat you out of house and home.  But it sounds like yours are more restrained.  Smiley Happy

Is slaw the same as coleslaw? I like it but haven't made it in ages.

The younger, the "dare devil, is a live wire.  He has no weight.  On New Years day, he ate 3 servings of fresh collards.  When their dad was two, I was worn out from stripping fresh collards.  That child loved them!
