jlkz, don't forget to let us know how that "Kind" Bar turned out. Interesting.
Soushi, sometimes it is fun to keep it simple - I am enjoying that more and more - when I get a chance that is.
Last night was another great night for sleeping. This morning about time to wake up, however, I started feeling queasy again - sure hope that just goes away and stays away. Church was great and Gaye and I ate after church at our CC. Food not the best today and service really bad!! Both things very unusual for the CC.
Davey and Tessa removed the stump from my Dad's miniature tangerine tree which died a year or so ago. Just broke my heart but I could not get it to come back. Had two mumbling teens when I explained to them a fairly easy way to do but at the end but both - INCLUDING Davey - had to admit it wasn't such a bad job at all. LOL. My lilacs and some other things appear to be dying out - am so upset but have no clue. Will cut the lilacs back and pray they will come back ok. Am sooooooooo upset over losing so many fruit trees, flowers, and so on. Was watering my persimmon tree and forgot about it completely - am so upset as the water ran for two days and tomorrow I need to got o the water company to find out what they are going to do to me. I cannot believe I just forgot it - have way too many things going on for this old woman to keep things straight.
Hope all had a great day.

WOO HOOO It's FALL ...

Preds, I always thought George Carlin often came up with some good statements - not all he said, but some were right on. This one hits the target. LOL.
Heating back up for today but NOT like what we had - thank goodness for that. But then with this insane weather out here any more, one can never tell for sure until it gets here. Got through yesterday again without any AC - that was a blessing for sure. Also got no email from the electric company to cut back usage - they only do that I believe when it is almost impossible to do it - like triple digit temps. I think I have been pretty darn good about it but the next bill will tell the tale. The last bill I got I received 30 cents credit for cutting back - now that is stupid in my book and I thought I had done really well. Like I said the next bill should be a lot better - but have gotten quite cynical living out here the past few years, will see what the electric powers that be decide.
Am thinking about putting a BIG pork roast in the slow cooker. Have NO CLUE what I will fix with it other than for sure will throw a sweet onion in the cooker with it. Have a lot of time to figure out what the go withs will be. LOL.
Forgot to start pushing Tessa to do a workbook for school yesterday. Very difficult to get her started and she is on thin ice at her school. Will start bugging her this morning as she has to turn one in tomorrow morning - was hoping she would get two done as she is behind. Keep your fingers crossed for me - and her too.
Have a great day everyone - each day it is sadder to see all the leaves on everything falling off - way too early and my plants, primarily the lilacs, look very sickly. Really upset about it.
Again, have a great day.

Winifred, good morning. I loved Carln. He made you think with his "nonsense" and that made him so enjoyable. Hope you have a beautiful, cooler day.

Afternoon,
I'm getting a late start. Do have to batches of laundry done. Bed made, showered, cleaned up kitchen. Ran my IRobot! (that wasn't hard.
Need to run some errands. Beautiful day. Low 70's today. Just love this. Sorry about your weather, Winifred. I'll send you some cooler weather and some rain too.
Had ribs from the crockpot last night. I like to leave them in the slab and wrap them in a circle standing up in the pot. That way, all the fat drains to the bottom of the pot. They were very good. Tonight, just don't know yet. Have a coffee meeting at 4:30 and 7:00 art club.
Winifred, that recipe looks long but they made a new line for every little step. I agree, don't usually like to have a complicated recipe. But this one looks so good for a special occasion like a birthday.

Soushi, that LONG recipe looks absolutely delicious. Will print it out and sit down in the near future and take a good look at it. Suspect I WILL make it. LOL.
Figured out how to fix the roast. Actually decided to pick up a great cookbook my friend Amy gave me only a few years before she died. It has super good recipes in it. I even have bequeated it to my "baby" brother as he is an excellent cook. Basically you chop up apples and onion and cooked the roast on that in a slow cooker. You coat the roast with corimander crushed seed, honey, dijon mustard. When it is done you use the apples and onions and make a sauce with them. If it comes out ok, will post actually how to do it. Sounds good. Still do not know what I will have as go withs.

Evening,
Busy day. Bible study then MahJong in the afternoon. I put a frozen pork roast *small one, in the crock pot with dried onion soup, chicken soup, and a soup can of water. Turned out very, very good. Had steamed broccoli and cauliflower with cheese melted on top. That was it. We were both full and satisfied.
Yes, tell us more about your pork roast, Winifred. Love to hear how it turned out for you.
Heading down stairs to the TV.

Morning,
Just finished off toast with peanut butter and orange marmalade. I like this as a treat. DH had the last of the egg casserole. The casserole was good and you can make it ahead of time. I had made it the night before.
Not sure about dinner tonight. DH wants to mow the yard, again. Growing so fast with the warm weather and rain. I think I can see it growing. So I might make something that can hold over till he is done mowing. Have pork chops thawed, may bake them and keep them on warm.
Enjoy the day.
