Help with making muscadine jam...

I have never made this before and some of the recipes call for the hulls to be pureed and added back in. Is it better to add them back in or leave them out? I was blessed to be given four quarts of muscadines today and sure don't want to mess this up. Thanks

lol, sorry, It is a wild grape that grows here in NC and is really good.
