There was a thread by the Q Social Team a couple of days ago, asking for people who wanted to be added to the gamers forum, to respond on that thread.
Apparently they're in the process of getting that forum going.

With the forum changes, it was combined with the community forum. It's hidden from the general public because posters complained they didn't want games in the community forum. It got its own forum and only those that asked for access can see the forum.

How strange that the Gamers forum would be hidden from view. Did it really bother people so much? LOL

Apparently so. Someone recently asked to unhide it and was basically told no.

As I understand it, the issue arose from the way the old system was originally designed. Games and Community C/hat were originally set up a sub-boards in the Other category. When the boards migrated onto the new platform, it was not possible to segregate the postings, and as a result, they all appeared in the Community Chat category on the new platform.
The problem was compounded because the most active posts move to the top of each board. As the games postings are constantly updated with new entries, this forced the Community Chat discussions off of the first page of postings, and this was extremely frustrating.
The only solution semed to be to hide the Games postings, allowing only those interested in them to view this new category. As those who are interested in, and participate in, the games is relatively small compared to the number of other posters, this seemed to be the sensible solution.
Unhiding the games at this point would only serve to frustrate those who do not wish to participate. It has nothing to do with being offended.
