HEAVENLY CHOCOLATE-BERRY PIE
1 1/4 Cup Graham Cracker Crumbs
3 Tbsp Sugar
1/3 Cup Butter or Margarine, melted
1/2 Cup Plus 2 Tbsp Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels, divided
1 (8-oz) Pkg Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 Cup Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 Cup Whipping Cream, whipped
1 Pint Fresh Srawberries
1 tsp Shortening
Combine first 3 ingrediens, mixing well; firmly press onto bottom & sides of a lightly greased 9-inch pie plate. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool completely.
Place 1/2 cup chocolate morsels in top of a double boiler; bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook until chocolate melts. Set aside to cool slightly.
Beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until light & fluffy; add brown sugar & vanilla, mixing well. Add cooled chocolate; mix well. Fold the whipped cream into cream cheese mixture; spoon filling into prepared crust. Chill at least 8 hours. Set aside 1 strawberry, and cut remaining berries into thick slices. Arrange slices over filling; place whole berry in center.
Combine remaining 2 Tbsp chocolate morsels & shortening in a small saucepan over low heat; cook until the chocolate morsels melt. Drizzle over strawberries.
