Heads up on the new Square Convertible Set

I have tons of temp-tations, going back to the very first sets offered on QVC. The overall quality of their work has been going down hill for quite some time. The only thing that has kept me coming back is that some lines (like Heritage) and some pieces in some lines are really well made and beautiful. More and more often, though, sets or pieces are just overall junk ( a good example would be the SBS that soooo many people had to have pieces replaced from, for me alone, the third muffin replacement was as badly chipped and glazed as the first two).

I ordered H194086 3pc Convertible set and it arrived chipped up. Called TT CS and they shipped out replacement pieces. Those arrived yesterday and they were as bad as the original. Called TT CS again and spoke with Daniel. He was as kind as could be but their story now is that those pure white, chalky, unglazed dings out of the edges of the two large pieces, ( at least four in each one) are not chips but are natural occurances from the glazing process, where they have to be (if I understand correctly) held by metal when glazed, then set down and the marks are left there.

I am sure no expert on the manufacture of ceramics or stoneware, but I'm not buying it. If this is true, why doesn't this happen on all pieces. If this is true, why don't I see these "chips" on other brands of stoneware that I have purchased over the years like polish stoneware and Rachael Ray.

Help me out fellow temp-tation owners. Is this truly a function of the process, or are they tired of replacing the poor quality products that they are having manufactured? I have loved this line for so long, but I am considering just turning away from it because the quality is way inconsistent. One of the other reasons I kept buying was because TT was great about replacing defective materials. I'm thinking that might become a thing of the past.
