@house_cat    You'd better sample a sliver.  After all, you wouldn't want to poison anyone.

Re: Have you started your T-Day cooking yet?

Here's my bird (tee hee!): Apologies to posters who have seen this, but newer posters haven't, LOL! BTW, Men love it

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Rub butter or oil over the skin of the turkey until it is completely
coated.

Take a knife and gently separate the skin from the breast meat.
Slide lemon halves under the skin with the peel side up. This way the
Juice from the lemon will coat the breast.

Season skin of turkey to
your preference, place sprig of rosemary into the chicken.

Cover and place in oven for 3-4.hours. Remove cover and continue
to roast until juices run clear, basting every 15-20 minutes depending
on the size of the bird.

If you've followed these steps correctly, your turkey should look like
the one in the picture.

Hope you can both take it easy and have a relaxing Thanksgiving day.  Feel better Soon!

Grabbing my fork for those green beans! Not green bean casserole, right?

I don't do casserole anything!

ETA: If you are making GB casserole, I'll arrive before the other stuff gets mixed in, I just love the taste of fresh green beans, YUM!

What springform pan did you use that has such high sides.  Wow!

I made dressing on Saturday.  Won't be a big deal to cook 2 breasts, bake dressing, make gravy, and open cans of jellied cranberry sauce on Thursday.

Re: Have you started your T-Day cooking yet?

We are having a quiet TG at home.  Made the mistake of making a pumpkin pie today.  My SO, he ate a couples pieces.  Save me one piece please.  🤣

It’s a low key holiday this year.  Cornish hens, mashed potatoes, corn casserole and fresh green beans.  Relish tray.  Easy meal.  And any pie if there is some left.  I may make an apple or cherry crisp tomorrow.

@house_cat   Beautiful!  It wouldn’t be spared for two days here.  I’m not a big dessert lover, but I need a piece of pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving.
