Re: Has Anyone Tried Resers Potato Salads or Main St Frozen Potatoes?

I have never tried the potato salad, but I have had Main St. Potatoes.  I think they were cheesy scalloped.  They were good.

I always make my own but bought some at Costco to take camping once....a bit salty, but I think all premade food is salty.

I'll always prefer my homemade recipe, but Walmart makes a decent prepared salad.

Love Resers salads, especially their macaroni salad, only two of us now and makes sense to buy the premade salads. Have their coleslaw and macaroni salad in my refrigerator right now.

For all who are interested in Reever they have it at Costco.  If you use Instacart it will be delivered as well.

By the way they say the mashed potatoes are all natural.  I'm not a cook (a Lavern poster knows this, ha).

I have a better one but it's not instant. Still easy and the best! It's called Honest Earth creamy mashed potatoes.

You put in over a cup and a half of water plus a half stick of real butter. Bring to a boil. Immediately take it off the stove.  Add the mashed potato mix (potato, milk, butter) and start stiring it into a delicious creamy texture.

You could add in chives, whatever you like as well.

It's from Idahoan in the  all natural department.  I usually purchase from Amazon but if sold out I go right to the Idahoan website.  All natural I promise and works in under 10 minutes.  I think all the big steakhouses use it. Seriously. We have taste tested.

I don't think the major players like  Mortons, Capital Grille, etcetera are sitting in the kitchen peeling potatoes all day anymore. lol. Enjoy.

PS.  I still say I made them....

Potato Salad is so easy to make and nothing beats homemade. Glad you like this. I don't buy pre-made food.

@ahoymate. Actually i find potato salad rather a PIA to make.  First there's cooking, then chopping a plethoa of vegetables, then I make dressing.  Very time-consuming and lots of standing so I just do without.  I also can't stand long.

Re: Has Anyone Tried Resers Potato Salads or Main St Frozen Potatoes?

Since I'm just me, I won't be going to the trouble of making salads for myself. My local Walmart sells this brand and it's okay. My biggest complaint is they use too much mayo and they also put sweet pickle relish in the potato and mac. salad. I can tolerate it in the mac. salad, but don't care for it in the potato salad. I just finished a mac. salad today. BTW, @ECBG , if you've had the cole slaw, how is that?
