Has Anyone Tried Mission BBQ?

I never heard of them. I guess one recently opened near where DD works.  Just curious.

TIA.

Yes when son was stationed at Jacksonville, NC.  Sides were delicious and always served hot & fresh.

Re: Has Anyone Tried Mission BBQ?

Yes, several times.  Been to one in Maryland, one in Lancaster County, PA and just this weekend, to one in NE PA.  Food was tasty and fresh.  I had smoked meatloaf this last time and it was excellent, along with mashed sweet potatoes and green beans with bacon.  Their corn bread was quite tasty.  Our local Mission is allowing eat in dining - very limited seating around the perimeter of the dining area, staff are keeping up with cleaning recently-vacated tables.  You must get a fresh cup to get a drink refill.

Their "mission" is noteworthy - giving back to military, Veterans and local first responders.

Re: Has Anyone Tried Mission BBQ?

I have one near me and have eaten there three times.  I had gift certificates.

The food is not bad and it is always crowded. You order your food at the counter and pick it up when they call your number.  It's very casual.

It is difficult for me to eat there because I am gluten free....can't eat sandwitches.

It's worth a try...my granddaughter went with me once, and she loved the food.

Being in the midwest, I am not near a Mission BBQ.  But they contribute to one of my favorite charities, Warrior Canine Connection.  They are 'aces' in my opinion.

Yes!  First saw this chain in North Myrtle Beach, SC.  We now have one very near us in the Western PA area.  Actually we just ordered this last week for dinner.  Always good and so many choices of BBQ sauce so you kind find what you like best.

Re: Has Anyone Tried Mission BBQ?

i would say that they were okay......good food, not excellent though.

we have a lot of better bbq places around that do it so well that i am not even tempted to go.

Haven't been there.  As a general rule we try to avoid chain restaurants.

We have been there a number of times.  No, it’s not out-of-this-world fabulous, but it’s very good.  I love their “mission” and how they invite everyone to stand and recite The Pledge of Allegiance everyday at noon.  🇺🇸

Re: Has Anyone Tried Mission BBQ?

We generally avoid chain restaurant and eat local. That being said, we have been to Mission BBQ because of their passion for their mission.
