I have, but it was not related to food. It was Colleen Lopez/HSN, selling jewelry many moons ago. That's probably when I first started watching Colleen, because I found the honesty refreshing.
She was selling this very unappealing ring: a great big powder puff/starburst/snowball looking thing that was being sold as a firework ring. She put it on her finger and got the giggles. When she got herself under control she said something along the lines of "I am so sorry. I realize some of you may like this style of ring, and that's great. This is just not my taste and not something I would wear". You never hear hosts do that lol.....
of course I never have heard her do anything like that since either, but that stuck with me

That host from QVC Germany's name is Volker. I's a fairly common name in Germany.

@Azcowgirl@ @bonnielu I don't think Dave King was around in those days. It was probably Paul Kelly as he was sort of the host-in-charge and was every one of those tours.

I honestly can't watch the food shows. That goes for both Sharon and David. Those huge mouths full of food and then talking with a full mouth- just not my kind of television. Disgusting in my opinion. I know they are supposed to "sell" the food products, but watching them gulp and gobble isn't the way to encourage me to buy. Sorry QVC but it just doesn't work for me.

I have a very small appetite, but enjoy all the food shows and buy many items. I have never seen Sharon do anything offensive. She takes small bites, chews, swallows and then speaks. Only one male host dives in a bit aggressively.
I don't think Sharon cares for the fruit bars she presented today.. I'm not sure she ever took a bite. They did not look appealing - gooey.
She seems to like the seafood primarily. I believe she does a good job.
There are only two presentations that I don't care for, Germack and Grammas coffee cake. Germack because of the vendor running her fingers thru the food and Grammas because of the vendor pouring all that sauce over an otherwise good cake.
Edited to add: When Rachel does food shows on Q2, I have noticed she does not eat some things, primarily seafood. Another vendor or stage person will try those things instead of her - perhaps allergy.

@PA Mom-mom @Annabellethecat66, I agree about David. I always think that when he only takes one bite of something he's not that into it. You can really tell when he genuinely loves a product.

Wasn't there a male host named Clarence something who wore glasses?

Lisa Robertson was asked the same question - and had the same answer. Obvioiusly, it's the Q's STAT response.

I also know for sure though that some of the things he does is to help sell the product. Not talking about everything but here's what I saw:
A few years ago (maybe even last season) on the Apprentice it had Rick from QVC helping to show and sell products for the contestants. One thing they showed to help them was a controller (actual controller) talking in the contestants ears what to do to make sales move. He had in front of him a graph that moved as things sold. I think it might have been there or I read it that often (well that's an exaggeration....sometimes) when he does the happy dance it's because a product isn't selling as well. I'm not saying that's always the case but they said sales really move when he does that.
Lately, it seems like there are very few products he doesn't eat more than once. Ha! Maybe that's because he has enough priority that they sell what he likes. Ha!
Thanks for your input. I learn so much reading what everyone here puts into the conversation.
