It tastes just like chocolate you can purchase at your local drug store - it is not worth the calories.

And not worth the money!

Why didn't any of you that were really uhappy with the taste of the chocolate get a refund? That's the terrific thing about QVC. If you are dissatisfied, return to a full refund. I would. I spend lots of money on fashion/home decor items which I very rarely return. If I'm going to take a chance on a food item, then I will ask for a refund if I'm not 100% satisfied.

I don't buy candy for myself. I hesitate to buy it for gifts because I have never tasted it. Money isn't everything, I'd rather pay more and know I'm giving quality chocolate.

Some people probably did get their money back. I know I didn't because I let it sit past the 30 days because my main reason for getting it was to add some of the individually-wrapped candy in with the parcels I made every December and passed out to neighbors and the people in my husband's office.

Well, I sat on it too long, and before putting any of it in there I tried one of most of them. I was aghast at how sub-standard it tasted so I didn't put it in with the stuff I made and just ended up throwing most of it away. I didn't love that level of waste, because I'm big on not being wasteful, but if I thought it was that awful I sure wasn't going to give it to somebody else. Smiley Happy

I can only speak for myself. I would never return a food item just because I didn't like it. That's the risk I took when I decided to buy food from a shopping channel. If it arrived damaged, stale, cracked. Defective. I would return it. All the shopping channels have liberal return policies and I appreciate that but I don't take unfair advantage.

Ladies, don't forget that the return policy is until January 31st. That gives you more time to return.

Chrystaltree, I know what you mean about not wanting to take advantage. I ordered the Kansas City Prime Rib two Christmas' ago. It was absolutely horrific. I went to the butcher and ordered a bigger, better, custom cut one for 1/2 price! I ended up throwing away the prime rib from QVC and never called CS about it. What a waste of $80!

I've only called CS once about a food item because I felt it was stale. It tasted like cardboard (Cheryl's cookies).

After the prime rib incident, I am going to make sure I'm satisfied.

this is why i am trying them. if they arent good then you can get a full refund without having to even return the item......100% guaranteed.

i have had problems twice with food products.....once on a gift of mrs prindables apples (a box arrived with partial melting......they sent out another box at no charge AND a bag of croissants that i am on auto delivery for arrived with most of them broken. they gave me a refund)

Regardless of what they say, I found (and you'll see reviews about this) there's not an equal mix. I think their quality changed. I liked the fact that they're individually wrapped, and the reviews used to be excellent, so several years ago I purchased a large tin of HL chocolates for a Valentine's Day party, and the quality and variety were excellent. About a year later, I tried the Christmas tin and the chocolates were really not good. They were waxy, had very little flavor, and most of them were the coconut haystacks and peanut butter buckeyes. When I called customer service to ask about the problem, I was told they had numerous reports similar to mine.

that's right sunshine- the hosts boast about QVC's return policy. We are consumers that expect an item to live up to the hype advertised/spoke about on t.v./online. If an item does not meet those expectations; according to the hosts, we should expect a refund.

I'm hoping to like the chocolates, but if I don't...well, I'm making the call to 1-800-345-1515, and you should too!

"That's my pep talk for the day"-lol!! I just hate to see people accept the unacceptable.

I can count on one hand how many times I've returned any clothing item-always happy. I've never received the dreaded letter, and I don't expect to anytime soon.

I'm with you, mtnbikegirl!

No way should we accept poor quality. The complaints, reviews, and returns are important not only for the consumer but also for the company.
