Love sourdough as growing up in San Francisco it was the bread of choice.

Always looking for a good one here in Colorado finally found it at our local King Sooper's (Kroger) and the brand is called Ace, oddly enough made in Canada.

@rockygems123  Love sourdough. I am fortunate to have a lady who bakes several loaves of it every day and sells them at a few places around town, including at a gas station and an ice cream store. People line up for her personal deliveries to each of the places around noon. I like to get the classic bread she makes, but she also makes sourdough focaccia, and that is excellent as well.

I am also fortunate to have a couple of olive oil tasting stores close by and like to dunk the sourdough into a combination of oils that have garlic and herbs in them. One expensive restaurant has her bread on the menu and they have a great recipe for the oil you dip the focaccia in.

I love every type of bread I have ever eaten. Now and then DH will bring home a still slightly warm loaf of french bread sliced from Harris Teeter and I'll have a slice or 2 with just butter.  Sometimes with peanut butter and jelly. Delicious!

I've always loved all breads with butter or some dipped in olive oil.

Since I've been trying to eat extra healthy I've limited my bread consumption and when I do eat it it's mostly sour dough bread (for the gut health as you mentioned but also because I've always loved it).

I'm a lover of sour dough toast and have to indulge every now and then but I don't like toast dry and I can no longer use tons of butter, so one day I tried a smidge of butter with a bigger drizzle of olive oil and it was delicious.

So now when I eat toast (even for breakfast) it's with olive oil, my husband thinks it's so weird! But I love it

My Homemade Health Breads!

We don't buy any. Yesterday I made a Chia seed bread, the other day I made Health Bread, with the oatmeal, raisins, wheat bran andwhole wheat flour and molasses in it.
