I truly laughed when I discovered that today was National S'mores Day because earlier in the week, I had decided that during the weekend, I really needed to test the new "Perfect S'more Makers" makers I bought from QVC two weeks ago but hadn't gotten around to opening yet. I often shake my head when I see others post that they don't open things right away, but it has been a busy time and I had to remember to buy graham crackers.   Smiley Happy

Anyway, the makers worked perfectly and we enjoyed a variety of fun s'mores, from the classic to a peanut butter cup version to a version using Everton Chocolate Toffee Pretzels. I absolutely recommend these as gifts to yourself or those you love! FWIW, in our 1000W microwave, they took 15 seconds to fully melt the marshmallow rather than the advertised 10 seconds, but even the most eager kidlets had no problem waiting that long. Delicious and fun!

Re: Happy National S'mores Day!

I have to say---I do Love these national "whatever" days!!! I get a weekly email from Relish that tells what days are when and then there are recipes and drinks to match. I am not a huge fan of s'mores as such--but do  love the combo of flavors. An ice cream flavor --smores--- would be heavenly!!!

Re: Happy National S'mores Day!

@wagirl - Quite a few brands offer a s'mores ice cream option, though most are not available year round. Target's Favorite Day version is really good, Ben & Jerry's has a regular and a PB version, Snoop Dogg's Dr. Bombay has pints, and Tillamook has a "Campfire Peanut Butter Cup" option. Kroger even has a s'mores ice cream sandwich. Depending on your local grocery stores, you may be able to find other brands as well. Happy hunting!

Re: Happy National S'mores Day!

Just thought I'd come back to share a quick update: The s'more makers are now at a sale price of $17.98 for the set of two instead of $22. Enjoy!
