Hmmmmmmm!  I love garlic knots and have them at a local restaurant.  They look delicious!

Re: Happiness is a tin full of...

@shortbreadlover  I think you and I could be friends!  I love, love bread.

Quick note:  So once when we were traveling through Europe.  We came upon this cute little Italian restaurant.  My girls were extremely picky on what they'd eat.  My poor husband kept saying, "We are not eating McDonald's in Europe.  We are eating like Europeans".

So, anyway, we sit down at the cute little restaurant.  The guy who owns it came out and was (in very broken English) telling my husband what a lovely family (3 cute girls) we had.

He brings out this huge (I mean it was one of the QVC Temptations bowls) of bread, hot and amazing!

We were all like, "Humph!  We'll never eat all of this bread".  Well guess what!

We finished off all of the bread (and homemade butter) so they brought out another bowl full!

By the time the spaghetti and (whatever my husband ordered) came out....the bread was almost gone again.

From then on my husband would always announce before the food came, "We will not fill up on bread....we will not fill up on bread".

We were like, "Sure...whatever you say...Heh!".  The bread was always amazing!

OMG!  My mouth is watering as I think about it!  You triggered a good memory.
