I have an old T-Fal fry pan - way back in the cupboard - that has sticky handle. Never put in dishwasher - just happened over time. It's like the soft material changed -I don't have an answer - sorry.

@Mimibn Welcome to the forums!
Your handle may be covered with silicone. My first choice would be to squirt some blue Dawn dish detergent and a little warm water on a Dobie pad and scrub.
Dawn is my "go to" to batttle grease and sticky things.
Hope this helps you get a "handle" on your problem.

I had a soft-cover fountain pen that got sticky in storage. DH used alcohol and that restored it. We've also the same problem with cookware handles and he uses alcohol on those, too.

The handle on one of my Totes umbrellas was sticky when I recently used it. I just wiped it with alcohol and it's smooth again. Thanks for the tip!
