Re: Hadn't watched the noon show ITKWD in awhile

I have a very large rectangular electric skillet that comes in handy.  Last week I had company.  At breakfast I was able to cook six pieces of french toast in it at one time while the bacon cooked in the oven.  On a day to day basis I don't use it.

I used to have smaller deep one that I wouldl "deep fry"in.

Re: Hadn't watched the noon show ITKWD in awhile

I have an older model (seems much bigger than the one they are selling now) CE electric skillet, and find it very useful for various tasks. When the stove goes out (and it does occasionally) I use that and my electric stock pot (CE as well) and my roaster for baking. IT gets me by  for the short term.

I also have an old Farberware electric skillet that I got back in the very early 1980's that is not nonstick, and I haven't used it in a very long time, but still keep it.
