I saw him for a little bit yesterday, but had to turn it off because of the host, Shannon Smith. She has decided that since David has his Happy Dance, that she needed her own. So, now she does the Shannon Shimmy, which is ridiculous. She took such a HUGE mouthful of whatever she was supposed to be SELLING that she just chewed and chewed and chewed and then started doing something that I guess was supposed to be dancing. It was way worse than any of the shenanigans the QVC hosts do, and that says a LOT.

I like the cooking shows and I like Wolfgang, and she seems to host a lot of those, but yesterday was too much.

I read about it on another board, so I watched it. I thought it was hysterical. I would have died of embarrassment if that was me.

Yeah, like Carolyn and Gary and those baby-ish squirrel

antics. I go to the bathroom when they're doing that

QVC and HSN are trying to appeal to today's kidults.

Seriousness is for old people. Ironically, we have the money to spend, adn are turned off by this nonsense.

Infantile and moronic presentations, geared toward an audience dressed in the clothing of perpetual childhood.... oversized cabin socks, pajamas, sherpa sh...well, you know, and buh-honless "cardi's"  with thumbholes. ( Note the wee wee babytalk to describe items)...

Waiting for the day they show adult pacifiers ( they came pretty close with adult coloring books....)

I'm out.

Yes, it is --- I have both, so I can make a valid comparison 😁

Your statement is just an 'observation' sitting behind a monitor random comment...

I much more value comments/recommendations from people that actually shop/own the products

Those cookware pieces are not  even close to the heavy stainless quality of All Clad.  That's why there's a huge difference in price--and weight.

All Clad is heavy multi-ply steel on both the bottom and up the sides.  Many other brands are heavy only on the bottom and have thin stainless on the sides.

I ordered a Puck cookware set about 7 years ago.........arrived with rust in some of the pans which was obvious when I opened the box. Very unusual for quality stainless steel, I thought.   Back it went as soon as I could send it.

Sorry to sound so negative about an otherwise respected product and vendor, but that is my opinion and experience only.

Rust? No way! That is indeed an odd experience...so radically different from mine 🤷‍♀️

@Chi-town girl  I am so glad you said something concerning Wolfgang. When he started at HSN I bought almost every stainless steel pots and pans he had and I still have them. I must say there is none better than those that I bought. Clean up is a breeze for me.

Why do people believe that the heavier the pot the better it is? Also never had a Wolfgang pot rust. What's up with that??

@ValuSkr We used to go to Commanders Palace when in New Orleans and he greeted people, would come around and ask about the food and talk about it.  I can say the man loves and knows food and loves to feed people.

But I'm sure he isn't everyone's cup of tea, and he was just "cookin' for Ellan Brennan then" as he says and pretty unknown.

Here is a direct quote from the All-Clad website which describes the difference between Puck and All-Clad cookware.  I have two Puck saucepots and there is a big difference in the thickness of the side walls of the pans.

How All-Clad describes its cookware.......

  • Classic tri-ply construction, made with a responsive aluminum core bonded together with 2 layers of durable, stainless steel all the way to the rim for maximum durability and fast, even heat distribution
