That is what I remember as well. Seems like yesterday. I must be getting old.

I remember Hobart as well. Great products. My first KA dishwasher lasted many, many years. Second KA was not nearly as good; didn't last that many years.

Whirlpool has owned KA for years -- I believe at least 20, but I may be off a couple of years. Most KA products are made overseas with the exception being the mixers which are "Assembled in America" but may contain parts made overseas.

Some of the Kitchen Aid products are made in Greenville, OH.
