Health: US authorities recall organic ground beef products Dec. 30, 2010, due to potential E. coli O157:H7 contamination.

Summary
The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) in conjunction with First Class Foods, Inc., recalled 34,373 pounds of organic ground beef products Dec. 30, 2010, due to potential Escherichia coli (E. coli) O157:H7 contamination. The products were shipped to stores in the states of California, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Washington. Each affected product label has the establishment number "EST. 18895" as well as the Pack Dates 10341 or 10350. The following products are affected by the recall:

· 16 ounce packages of Nature's Harvest Organic Ground Beef Brick with use or freeze by dates 12/30/10 or 01/08/11

· 16 ounce packages, sold individually or in three-packs, of Organic Harvest Organic Ground Beef Brick with use or freeze by dates 12/18/10 or 01/06/11

· 16 ounce packages consisting of four 4 ounce patties of Nature's Harvest Ground Patty with use or freeze by dates 12/30/10 or 01/08/11
