Here in N central PA (within 60 miles of my house) we have several chains: Weis Markets, Giant Markets, Super Walmart, Aldi's. I shop first at Aldi's and then finish up at one of the other larger chains. I have always called them "grocery" stores.

Also from Suburban Philly. All of the above plus Sam's, BJ's, Bottom Dollar (closing in a week as Aldi's bought them), Weis Markets, Save-A-Lot and Redners Warehouse Markets.

SE VA - we have Farm Fresh, Food Lion, Kroger, Harris Teeter, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Fresh Market, Walmart and several military commissaries. Forgot to add: Sam's Club and Bj's.
