I use a list. Most of the stores I go to have an app and I check the coupons I want and they are automatically put on my card then.  I was never any good at clipping coupons and bringing them with me, but downloading them on the app is great.   Easy Peasy

@QVCkitty1    Here's an extra ❤️. That's what I do. I hated the cart, people, lines, as you say hiking around stores, driving to stores, alll of it, even before Covid. My W list is online. For 3 & 1/2 years I did parking lot pickup, but thought I'd try home delivery when W had 1/2 price enrollment. I'll probably keep it when my 1 year is up. I'm spoiled by delivery at my kitchen door.

I do make a list for my trips to Costco and Trader Joe's.

Yes and I always put my list in the coupon pouch in my purse so I don't forget either one!

@qualitygal  I keep my list on my Alexa app. It shows up on my phone and in my grocery list on my Amazon account. We have an Echo in the kitchen and also in two bedrooms. When I use up something, I just tell Echo to put it on the list. Since I always have my phone with me, I always have my list with me. Before Alexa came along, I was always foirgetting things. My ShopRite has digital coupons, which I load each week as they appear in the ad.

I use my iPhone's reminder app, added list, changed type to grocery. When you add your item, it will automatically put it under the right category. Or I use "Our Groceries" app. Both work well.

@Nightowlz   Your husband would think my DD is weird too.

She doesn't mind grocery shopping and I,well, I'd rather get poked in the eye with a sharp stick than go in a grocery store,

We decide what we want for meals, she always rewrites it in order of the layout of the store.  She hates back tracking for stuff.

Re: Grocery Shopping

[ Edited ]

I always keep my clipped coupons in my handbag, and download virtual coupons to my grocery store account once a week.

I never make a list.  I know what I need to get and always find other things, usually on sale, to buy as well.

I never have had a problem remembering what I need.

When I made a list, I forgot it at home.  Give up on that.

Use a list and even then sometimes forget something. A list helps me figure out a menu for next few weeks or so. I use coupons if I have them. Just shopped this morn and boy was the store hopping. Helps to know where everything is. Store did put the egg nog in an unlikely place but I remembered from last year.

Yes, always have.

I would never remember the specifics and especially, the key items.
