Re: Green Bean Casserole, Part Two!!

I made macaroni and cheese without Velveeta for a holiday pot luck at work. It didn't go over very well.

I learned not to change staples for holiday meals.

I prepare mine the same way. I was asked to bring a green bean casserole to a potluck recently.. I pondered it forever and finally decided to stick with my onion and bacon green beans. They were the first to disappear. I made them for Thanksgiving. No point fixing what already works.

Re: Green Bean Casserole, Part Two!!

My family loves for me to make the traditional green bean casserole, but I don't eat mushrooms so use cream of chicken soup instead. It works and tastes great.

Re: Green Bean Casserole, Part Two!!

I will stop trying to change the "traditional" holiday meals and save changes for regular dinners. My children love and look forward to the food we always have for Thanksgiving and Christmas, including the green bean casserole.
