Re: Great Video for Tea Lovers!

Charming video with a lot of information packed in the brief time.  Only one fault - why did they feel it necessary to compare tea drinking with going to the pub for a pint?

Re: Great Video for Tea Lovers!

They didn't compare afternoon tea to going to a pub. The subject was about price and the question was posed to a man who drinks four cups a day. He was asked how he felt about the pricey places that serve tea and he said he'd rather go to the pub for a pint.

They were making the point that tea is inexpensive. The man felt that if he was going to pay a premium for a beverage, he'd prefer to spend it on beer. That was my take on it anyway.

Cute video. Smiley Happy

Re: Great Video for Tea Lovers!

My point was, @SusieQ_2, why even bring that into the video?

It had no relevance.   It's apples and oranges (or tea and beer).

Re: Great Video for Tea Lovers!

I didn't feel like it was irrelevant at all.  When asked what he thought of fancy places serving expensive tea, he decided that for that price (and pretension I would imagine) he'd prefer to spend his money on a relaxing pint at the pub.

Apples and oranges are different but they're both still fruit. Tea and beer are different yet they're both beverages so the comparison made sense. I guess he could have answered "I would never pay that much for a cup of tea" but instead he gave a humorous reply and they both got a kick out of it. I thought it was cute.

@Sooner

@Yahooey

Thank you for sharing the video.  I love everything about tea and tea parties!

I drink at least 6 cups every day - mostly herbal teas and decaf Earl Grey, but Lady Grey is my current favorite.
