Gourmet Food Show 3-31@5pm

[ Edited ]

About 6:30 Chef Toni was presenting a Lemoncello cake with Carolyn and Alberti.  After they both had devoured their piece of cake, Carolyn made a comment about no need to put in dishwasher, lick the plate, then said something to Alberti about his dog licking the plate.  Whereupon, Alberti, scraping the plate with his fork to show there was nothing left, put the plate to his mouth and licked the plate or pretended to do so.  How absolutely inappropriate and not what I want to see on air in a food show!

Re: Gourmet Food Show 3-31@4pm

I'm watching the show as well.  I watch these shows with a sense of lightness; I was not bothered by Alberti licking the plate for that quick second.  It was meant to be a light-hearted moment.

If I sat and watched any TV shopping channel to pick out everything I thought they did wrong I would never watch TV shopping ever again.  Yes, some things I refuse to watch, but others are so lightweight & momentary that I don't take any offense at all.  It's sales, and they were having fun.

This thread has been removed by QVC because it is host bashing

@Caaareful Shopper  I see you have a different take on this and that is fine, to each his own!

they are just trying too hard.

just have to disregard and look beyond at just the product and reviews

the powers that be probably said they love it & said they should do it

@Mary Bailey  Mary, I do not doubt for one minute your statement "...the powers that be probably said they love it & said they should do it.."    But I am the buying public and I do not have to watch unpleasant host's behavior with food since there is more than necessary at times.

I saw the show & didn’t think they did anything wrong ... they were having a “light” moment & having a good time selling the product ..... it didn’t bother me at all .... I don’t sweat the small stuff 🙃
