I have a Ninja, but I would recommend to always preheat. It seems to make a big difference for me.

No, just an air fryer pot style.
Got the Breville Mini Oven.

I'm using my third air fryer, and each one is a little different in cooking times. You pretty much have to experiment a bit and learn how yours works for what you cook. Recipes will give you a general idea of cooking time, but expect to have to make adjustments for your fryer. Maybe a little longer, maybe a little shorter. Maybe quite a bit longer or quite a bit shorter.

First off--LOVE my Breville little oven--have had it for 8 years now
And then , try meatballs in the airfryer--I have an Instant Pot brand airfryer--and meatballs are always so good in it. Frozen or fresh---360* for 6-7 minutes--maybe a minute more if frozen. Any kind of meatballs---also cooked a fantastic salmon in it too, that was half thawed--cooked to perfection. I roast veggies in it too----if you eat french fries--they are good---not much isn't good in it. I partially microwave potatoes then cut in half, a little olive oil over top and recently, sprinkled siracha salt ontop. Love asparagas roasted in it too. Haven't baked in mine yet--not sure why. I would start out using less time--maybe by a minute or 2---sometimes the times are off. Use a thermometer with meats too---Have fun!!

It is just a small, hot oven, right?
I love potatoes. Gotta try your recipe!
Do you use disposable liners?

I use a piece of aluminum foil in my air fryer as a liner. I agree with following/watching your time and temp settings until you adjust to this mode of cooking. It was a learning curve for my husband that there was a different temperature and time setting for foods he cooked in the air fryer vs foods he baked in the oven.
I love steaks and chicken breasts in my air fryer. A BIG potato, greased, seasoned, wrapped in foil, bakes at 400 for an hour and turns out just right for me.

Thanks. It is just a tiny oven, right? My son loves his but only for a few items.

@Zhills - In addition to the other good tips posted here, I recommend checking out the website of our old pal, the Blue Jean Chef Meredith Laurence. She has lots of great air fryer information plus tons of recipes, all free and in one central location:
bluejeanchef.com/cooking-school/collections/air-fryer/
If you decide you like the recipes, her air fryer cookbooks are also great—you can get them on Amazon in print or Kindle form (with the latter often available at very low prices, especially if you watch and wait a bit). I hope you enjoy your new air fryer! I love mine and use it all the time, especially in these hot summer temperatures.
