Paid six times the price for my last Vitamix....I'm interested in knowing how this new IP product performs,  Actually the new direction in blenders is a vacuum element ....still to new to know if that feature is hype or the future.

That’s interesting. I paid a lot of money for my Vitamix and rarely use it now so I wouldn’t make the change.

@OKPrincessI have to laugh at myself because if I watch food shows here or elsewhere, I start to think I ought to try that -  try the decide being sold, the recipe being demonstrated, etc. when truth be told, I most likely won't or will use some new device once or twice and store it away for future use.  And the cookbooks I have, the recipes I clip -  more decor or clutter than useful.

I’ve been known to buy another appliance or thing because  of the color. The fair starts next week and we watch demonstrations of “things” — better not be there!! If it is it will probably more than $99. Oh dear another dilemma.

Re: Goodbye Vitamix - Hello Instant Pot Blender

I am waiting for at least a year's worth of reviews on this before I'd even get vaguely interested.  I've had my Vitamix for about six years.  It's used in my home every single day.  It's not just the results, but it's the dependability. To me, that's where the high cost is justified.

My son is very athletic and uses that Vitamix as if it's in a commercial restaurant.  He packs it high with all kinds of fruit (barely cut at all, because he "doesn't have the time for that") and vegetables, and his protein supplements -- to the rim.  It makes a lot of noise, but never, ever fails to produce the most velvety smoothies each time.  Sometimes when I see what he has packed in there, I cringe, but it always performs like day one.

I make my nut butter and soups, and I'm always impressed.  Nope, I'll keep my Vitamix, at least for now.

I will definitely look at that.  My old Ninja Storm has seen better days, and can't do most of what it looks like this one can.  Thanks for the info.

Instant Pot Blender

[ Edited ]

Wow....that’s a nice looking machine.

Pro:

It’s a small footprint...slick design.

Kudos to focus on the nut bags for making alternative nut milks.

(The plant-based community was such a huge influence with the

launch of the IP to mainstream cooks. I can see why they would

include something special for the Leafies! 🌱)

Con:

I hope the saturation of different colors/products doesn’t sacrifice

the quality of the OG...the 6Qt Pressure Cooker (ie: growing too fast).

But then, I refer back to Kitchen Aid and it’s iconic stand mixer and

ancillary appliances, so...who knows.

It’s hard to compete with the iconic Vitamix & Blendtec,

for that level of quality.  Blenders have tried, and I’m sure IP

will try, but...don’t see it replacing the Vitamix/Blendtec.

I think I stick with one of each Vitamix and  Instant Pot.

Wonder how these new ones hold up.
