Thanks. Even with just the black choice available I was going to wait until Black Friday to buy, but I may just pull the trigger on this one with EP.

@SharkE : I think the only differences in the models are that the higher priced one has a dehydrate feature and it is 3 1/2 lbs. heavier. It also has better reviews than the one priced $10.00 less.

I ordered the higher priced one with better reviews this morning. I hope it's worth it for the kind of cooking I do- not sure.

Girl , it opened up my life ! No more slavery in the kitchen. Roasting cuts of meat, pork roast, beef roast in a skillet , to brown up, then, transferring it to a pressure cooker, add water and pressure cook it for 30 minutes or longer. Everything is done in 1 pot, just reset the machine.

I've used the air crisper feature too, for a round pan of Pillsbury roll or biscuits. Set the pan on the trivet and watch your times till you figure out the right time exactly. Lets you open the lid, and keeps track of the time you have preset it. If not brown yet just lower the lid and it gets back to browning.

My wall oven takes good 10-15 minutes to preheat to 350 or 400

I usually pre heat the air crisper for 5 minutes then go to refrigerator, get the rolls or biscuit, spray the pan, put in pan,  put the trivet in the foodi pot to raise the pan up, and your good to go.

Bake T bones or any cut of steak , add little water for 20 minutes

pressure cook them for 10-15 minutes . Hubbo won't eat tough steak, roast, anything like that has to fall off the bone for him.

after you bake and have your water you can drain that off if you want, add BBQ sauce then pressure cook the steaks in the sauce

Tenderized and sauced all in one pan.

you can brown your steaks, first too, right in pot then pressure cook

Everything you can do in your oven you can now do in the Foodi as long as it fits. Whole roast, whole chicken , couple of steaks. Haven't made meatloaf yet got to try that next

Aircrisp salmon, french fries, onion rings, preheat the foodi 5 min

spray the trivet if your using . I just spray the pot and have the salmon already dunked in olive oil and air fry for 4 minutes per side

I like stuff really DONE ! Professional chefs would scream 8 minutes too long, but, I want stuff not raw.

I don't pay a lot of attention to reviews. Most people don't know how to cook anyway. LOL Don't read instructions either.

Foodi will tell you to put on the pressure cooker lid if you forget (like I did) LOL and just lowered the aircrisp lid. One time I had the valve on 'vent' instead of 'seal' and it hissed real loud I thought what in the world ! and went in there and I had the pressure valve set on 'vent' instead of 'seal'. won't blow up on you just make that hissing sound and gradually would evaporate the water in there if you didn't manually flip the valve to 'seal' then it goes quiet and starts the countdown.

Even a 'old dog' can get distracted by phone call , husband bellowing about something and flub up. It tells you in a flashing message what it's waiting on for you to correct.
