I waited and waited to buy this product as the price was a little too much for me. I saw a combination that was lower than any price I had seen. It was the berries combination. They said they hadn't sold it in a while and by request decided to bring it back. Well I think they went in the basement and brought up the old stock. I should have listened to some of the reviews I. It was 90 % almonds , hardly any cashews. What?
Really bothered me though is they tasted old and stale. Customer service was very generous and gave me my full refund which I appreciate. It just leaves me very wary of further food purchases. For every product that is good there are two that are disappointing.

@mariadomenica - I've had Germack in the past and it was okay.  Not spectacular, but okay.  I recently ordered the set of 5 minis they brought out around Christmas.

They stated more than once that these hadn't even been made yet; they fill your order after they receive it, so everything is "guaranteed fresh for a year".

Well, I got mine in December and was really surprised to see the Best By dates on them:  one was BB August and the other four were BB October.

How could that be, if they weren't packed until I placed my order?  Clearly, the August one was made for something like the "Christmas in July" period and had been sitting in their warehouse (which they said doesn't happen).

I wanted these to give as a small additional Christmas gift and I'm sorry I did give one to a friend.  I opened another one and it was not good, to put it mildly.

I complained to CS and got a refund and tossed the rest.

I've had their larger jars (like the Summer Mix) and been happy with them, but I won't order from this company again.  I don't feel I can trust what they say anymore.  That's just my experience.

I do better, price and quality, at my local shops.

I love nuts and normally eat a small handful every day.  I buy mine at Sam's Club...Member's Mark brand.

They come in a square plastic jar and are normally just over two pounds.  They come in a few varieties, with and without dried fruit, salted and unsalted for about $14, but they're often discounted.

The variety of the mixed nuts are great....lots of cashews, almonds, walnuts, pistachios, hazelnuts and pecans. You can also buy just cashews, etc.

Sams and Costco have a great selection of nuts...some even sold in individual portion bags.  The price is always right and they're always fresh.

I also buy big bags of walnut halves at Sam's for baking way cheaper than I can find anywhere else...always fresh.

I keep them in the freezer if I don't plan on eating all of them right away.

@mariadomenica  I recently had a disappoinment in ordering a food item and I was told it would be delivered by a certain day.  Well, it's still on its way and will be 8 days late thoug it was ordered plenty of time.

I am leary of buying the food items as well.

@mariadomenica That's a shame but glad you got a refund. As you said next time maybe pay attention to the reviews Smiley Happy

Have you tried the Happy Belly Brand from Amazon for nuts? I used to buy Sam's Club nuts all the time and lately found them old and tasteless. Happy Belly is cheaper also.....give them a try!

I ordered this product once---and got my $$ bck. On TV, they show big, beautiful nuts and such, but mine came to me that were mostly broken with a bunch of nut dust in the bottom, like they were shaken up in the jar--never the lovely large whole nuts!! Never again.

I have purchased this brand in the past.  It was always very good.  It has changed.  I don't buy this "not made until ordered" story anymore.  My favorites now are Squirrel Brand....have not seen those in awhile.
