I just purchased one from Beatrice's bakery. I got the 2lb. because I'm the only one that eats fruitcake in my house. I hope it's as good as the reviews say it is.

Collin Street Bakery here, too.

I didn't even like fruitcake before I had that.   I became addicted.

The only sort of downside is that they aren't cheap.   IMO, it's worth it for something that is so good.   I always cut it into pieces and individually vac-seal each piece and freeze.  That way it stays like new for years.

It's been a few years, as I needed to not spend the money, but am seriously contemplating getting another one.  I wouldn't buy one from anybody else.

I will take on anyone with my fruit cake.  It's the best I ever had.

Every fruitcake I've ever purchased has had alcohol in it -- usually red wine and rum.

Growing up, my babysitter was from Jamaica.  She made all our fruitcakes for years, even after I was an adult.  She ground the dried fruit up small, and soaked it in the alcohol for about a month, or more before she baked the cakes.  It's very dark, rich and moist -- looks nothing like these other fruitcakes.

I buy Beatrice's, and I do love it.  But I still buy my Jamaican fruitcake directly from the island, when I can get it.  Nothing like it!

@FastDogWalker2  Southern supreme bakery in Bear creek north carolina or

d'vine foods fruitcake at Lu Mill vineyard in  North Carolina. Husband very much likes both but I would have to say sothrn supreme is more decadent. You can order online from either one.
