@Bird mama

Thing is I did not buy it until last night, I defrosted it in water and now put it back in the fridge until I will cook it tomorrow

I bought a turkey breast this year and the recommendation on the package was thaw in fridge for 2 days so I moved it from the freezer into the fridge early yesterday morning.

I bought an almost 8 lb. breast and took it out Sunday afternoon. Last year I waited until Mon. and it wsa still not all thawed by Thurs. Maybe my fridge is too cold. Anyhow, everyone one enjoy the day.

I have only bought fresh ones, how should I defrost it, in the fridge or sitting on the counter for a while, it is about 8 pounds, thanks all and Happy Turkey day

You can cook still frozen.

Check for doneness with an instant read thermonitor reading 155 degrees.   Let turkey stand for 15 minutes before carving.

Good luck.
