I have been twice in 2 weeks for peaches.

I took a basket to the beach with our DS, DILove, and 2 younger grandsons.

The peaches were so sweet,  the boys ate them with juice dripping over the railing.

A peach got too ripe and a bird fed her 2 young ones for several days.

I hope all of you have fresh items where you are.

Is anyone else eating peaches???

Re: Fresh Summer Peaches!!!!

Oh I forgot to look for peaches when I was. shopping today!  I picked up kiwis and honey crisp apples to add to the cherries and oranges at home.

Peaches next trip!  I can just picture your boys enjoying those juicy drippy delicious peaches, the birds, too!

Waiting for the local orchards to be ripe. Had some delicious local  sweet cherries  and blueberries . Been picking wild raspberries last  few days. Love my local  fruit at it's peak perfection

Re: Fresh Summer Peaches!!!!

Colorado peaches from Noland Orchards coming in the end of this month.

Cunninghams peaches from Colorado usually are not here until Aug & Sept. Don't know why so late in the year?

We freeze a lot of them from Sept. We still have enough for 1 or 2 shakes left.

We generally buy 4-5 cases per season.

I would like another batch of homemade peach ice cream. YUM!!!

Re: Fresh Summer Peaches!!!!

We just bought some from Costco today.  The ones we get are from California, although my favorite peaches come from SC. We'll have to wait for a trip home to get those.

Isn't the smell wonderful!  We go picking every year but they are not ready here yet.  We pick and freeze to fill our freezer.  My husband is back at where he grew up and has raspberries and currants that he freezes and bring back.  He picks blueberries too.  Yummy.  The simple things are the best.

Re: Fresh Summer Peaches!!!!

@ECBG  When I was a kid, we had a couple of peach trees in our back yard. The peaches were great. I drink peach juice (instead of orange) every day.

Re: Fresh Summer Peaches!!!!

@ECBG  I live less than 1 mile from a huge peach grower in upstate SC.  There are peach orchards all around me and earlier the strawberries were in.  I take fresh (and I mean picked that morning) strawberries and peaches to our vet each year as a thank you for taking wonderful care of our furry children.  Yes we are spoiled and soooo fortunate to live here.  We so enjoy fresh fruit and veggies grown right next door.  We appreciate every piece of fruit and share with the birds and other critters in our woods.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

I live in the Peach State.  Our peaches have been very good this year.  Will be bringing some to family when we travel.

@Nightowlz

I would SO LOVE to have some homemade peach ice cream.  DH says banana!  Banana!!!  Banana!!! so very loudly!  I don't eat it after it's refrigerator freezer stored, so I just say "the heck" with it!
