Today, I had the FM White Wine Roated chicken fr dinner.
The chicken was almost over cooked but enough that it could be broken apart. The "doughy" texture was there.
Next time, quiche for sure and salad.

i generally like their chickens and the flavors.
they are smaller and more expensive than the chickens from sams club and some of our local grocery stores.
i am a big FRESH MARKET fan though.......love the selection, the size of the store, and the unique items they have.

Thank you SO very much. Have you had them from Sams? I never had. Many thanks.
sams rotisserie chickens are so yummy @ECBG !
i purchased some purdue oven stuffer roasters the other day from GIANT because i was having my family over for dinner. i am now doing tuesday night dinners for my family and it has been fun. i made 2 whole chickens, but they were $15.00 + each! not cheap, but a lot of meat on them. i could have just gotten two rotisserie chickens from sams for A LOT less. they wanted homemade though. ![]()
served my chicken with a lemon saffron sauce (onions and celery roasted in with the chicken), mashed red potatoes, glazed herbed carrots, and a salad.

You had a lovely dinner and it was rich in vegies, not starch.
I told my students in class a plate shouldn't be "all white (brown)" meaning starch like potatoes and corn in a meal. No wonder so many like it, both potatoes and corn metabolise into sugar!
I bought the most popular roasted chicken (white wine) at FM and it was cooked just past the point to where I could break it apart. The meat was very "doughy" which I have had with deli chickens, I have never had one I would go back to.

WE love the Fresh Market - unfortunately the store closest to us closed and now every two months, we travel 45 minutes to stock up. As far as we are concerned, TFM has the best meat, chicken and fish and since I love to cook and bake, so many new items of interest that are not available at our regular supermarket.
They also have fanstastic fried chicken - must be made in an air fryer because it is not greasy at all.

Our FM has seaweed and flaked salmon. So Yummy ! I agree about the meats and seafood and poultry. The fresh produce is always fresh too. However the basic's like frozen veggies and cereal are expensive. They also have a nice delly.
Just 3 blocks away we have a brand new Whole Foods. FM is struggling and the frequent complaint is the prices so I am not sure how well Whole Foods will do however they did plant the WF in the middle of a college dorm type housing so we will see.
Sprouts is also 3 blocks from where I live and there are college kids in the nearby.
About 1/2 mile away is a Trader Joe's and that market is always jumping. TJ is also across the street from college housing.

@ECBG The first meal my husband ever made for us was fish sticks, potatoes and hominy--white hominy. On a white plate.
We have always laughed about me saying "Where is the food?" He never met a carb he didn't like, and I give him credit for his efforts to learn to plan meals and cook early on!
But he still never met a carb he didn't like. And no weight issues either!
