I picked up a small pumkin pie (my daughter loves pumpkin pie) at the grocery store completely forgetting all the Halloween treats I still have in my house.  Can I freeze it?  If so, how long?

@ScrapHappy

I googled and the following information was provided.

Wrap in several layers of plastic wrap. Wrap with aluminum foil. Store for one month.

Defrost in refrigerator, not at room temperature.

Yes.  Just wrap it with plastic wrap pressed onto the top of the pie or wax paper and put it in a double zip bag.  You could also vacuum seal it.  That is how we seal our homemade pumpkin pies.  You can do two in a bag if they are thinner.  I'd say they would keep 3-6 months depending upon your wrapping and sealing.

Since I'm the only pie eater here..........I would freeze it in individual servings.

@ScrapHappy...I freeze a lot of food, including pumpkin pie.  Wrap well, and enjoy at a later date.

I'd wolf it down in 2 sittings, accompanied by a pumpkin pie Blizzard from Dairy Queen, my guilty autumn pleasure.  I never get enough pumpkin.

 It is very rare that there is not a bit of pie in my freezer at any time of the year.  Right now still a half a slice or Pumpkin Pie from Luby's I picked up on National Pumpkin Pie Day Oct. 26th.  May need to pull it out tonight with Blue Bell.
