Freezing Cake Balls????

Hey guys,I was wondering if anyone knows if the cake ball recipe that calls for crumbled cake and frosting can be prepared in advance, frozen, and dipped in chocolate later? Would love to make some but don't have the time for last minute prep. Thanks for any info.
