I was going to post asking if anyone knew what he was selling. Then I checked ITKWD items and I see it is a cookbook. I do not believe I have any more room for cookbooks , but I will watch the presentation most likely.

What qualifications does he have to be selling a cookbook?

He's a celebrity.  People will buy anything with a celebrity's name on it.

I will watch the presentation to see for myself, but I imagine he's a foodie, just like David V. who has 2 cookbooks to his name.  There are more and more celebrities who have an interest in food and cooking, and have been honing their cooking chops for a long while.

Yep, you got it. Annoys me to no end. It is pretty much the same with clothing lines that have a celebrity's name on them. Like I really believe she designed them??

I will watch and see if I like the recipes and decide for myself- If he likes to eat what I like to eat, he might have recipes that interest me..

Just because someone is  a chef, or cook, doesnt neccessarily mean I will like their cookbooks, In fact, we have a joke about Giada's recipes that they NEVER turn out right.. Lots of Paula Deans don't turn out right  either

Give me a good old Junior League or Church cookbook anyday! Those are not chefs  but they know what is good...

I used to live in West Los Angeles.  Celebrity endorsements went a LONG way out there. I'm sure they were paid.  People would jump on those products/services/activities like bees on honey.

Some of my friends and I were in an orienteering group.  Nice people, about 20 of us, and a great woods workout.  One Sunday, one of the members brought a celebrity friend.  Someone posted something online about it.  The following month, over 1,000 people showed up.
