There was a recall in my area on all Foster Farms chicken. DH had just purchased a package for nearly $10.
I threw it out immediately and he went to Ralph's with the receipt. Ralph's wouldn't give him a refund, they said he needed to have the package.
A few years ago I had a problem with chicken that didn't smell right. I went back with the chicken and Ralph's said, "You didn't need to bring the chicken back, just the receipt is enough."
So, why the difference this time? The store manager said Foster Farms was insisting on the package being returned... not the chicken, but the package.
Well, considering how many people have been sickened (hundreds) and this FF policy, I won't be purchasing any of their products in the future.
