Hi, everyone. I've still been going strong with my VitaMix smoothies and feeling better. I usually do the same mix of low-fat milk, frozen strawberries, blueberries, baby carrots, a generous amount of baby spinach, frozen cranberries, blackberries, raspberries.. pretty much a little bit of everything! I lost some weight, too.
I'd like to venture into the supplements that you can mix into the smoothies but I have no idea where to start. I saw some mention of protein powders and flax seed - but I don't know what all of this stuff means. I'm sure I can google everything individually, but is there a website somewhere that has a intro course on this stuff? I'd like to make a drink that is really customized for me to continue to lose weight and keep the fatigue away. I have to be careful because I do have severe acid reflux but the smoothies have not been aggravating this condition. I'm wondering if it is easier to consume fruits and veggies because they are emulsified rather than having to chew them up and break them down that way.
Thank you for reading and would love to hear about what you mix into your smoothies and why.
