Re: Forrestwolf and all bread makers here, speaking of english muffins...

I've made English Muffins from scratch using Alton Brown's recipe from Food Network. Kind of easy. For the muffin rings, Alton suggested using cleaned tuna fish cans with the tops and bottoms removed. But those cans now-a-days have rounded bottoms which don't work. What I used instead were small pineapple cans and removed the tops and bottoms. Those were the only cans I could find that were small enough.

I have had Wolferman's muffins and they are very good.

ETA -- the English Muffin Bread is wonderful and so easy. The recipe I have is baked in the oven, not the microwave.

The microwave recipe did work, even on my puny 700 watt 20 year old microwave. I bumped the cook time to 5 mins even. There was some white flour in my pantry, so I used that. Husband was impressed with freshly baked muffin bread for Sunday breakfast.
