@bmorechick

my grandmother and mom/aunts made frappes "bow ties" we ate them faster than they could cook them!

I don't have recipe anymore - if you do can you share please.  My kids would love it and tying the bows I'm good at was my job😉🙂

thank you Merry Christmas🎅🏻

I used a square 2.5" cutter bought set from "A".

Meaning lemon "filling" I don't know but Lucky Leaf has a excellent lemon pie filling.  I think it would be runny because jams and solo fillings are thicker.

I'm sure you could try it with a few as a test.

if we don't eat them ALL ...even spouse is eating them..and he hardly ever eats sweets.

I vowed not to bake but now I'm in the mood - next up : lemon ricotta cookies (my fav) and of course, cutout sugar cookies which everyone likes!

I never knew the recipe. My mom and aunts and Bushas would just crowd the kitchen and make them. I was too busy worried about hanging out with friends to care!

These days, when I go home to visit, I stop at Sophie's Bakery on Aliceanna St in Baltimore if I want the Polish confections. It's located in the Broadway Market in Fells Point. It's authentic.

Have a wonderful holiday as well...

Thanks !  I thought 2 or 2 1/2" would work well, so that info helps.

My DH is Polish and he would LOVE it if I made these; his mother did not but his grandmother made them when he was a kid.

Today I got the cream cheese and butter and two solo fillings - almond and cherry which we both love.  I'll make these for Christmas eve, thanks so much for posting!
