My dear ex-husband introduced me to the most delicious sandwich.  For a long time I wouldn't touch them, when I did I was hooked.

Fry thin slices of Spam until brow, then fry an egg hard on both sides.  Then slather white bread with mayo, pile on raw sliced onions, the Spam and egg.  Try one!  Yeah, that's what I said too.

This is funny, my husband did the grocery shopping yesterday for me and he bought a can of spam.  I don't mind it fried sandwich.

@Kachina624   I have had the sandwich you mentioned, I add a slice of tomato....it's pretty good.  I have not had one in years, it will probably be a quick dinner one day this week.

For awhile I was on a kick with pan fried cubed Spam then adding cooked steamed rice, small can of drained corn, frozen peas and toss quickly all together (like fried rice) and serve.  I got the idea from a Spam commercial, 'don't knock it until you tried it,' lol... I used green peas instead of the cubed carrots though.

It  would be terrific to see Kirsten present Figgy Pudding flavored Spam.

David would have Rachel taste it then segue into a happy dance.🕺

Re: For Your Holiday Meal?

@DJs mom

It's really quite simple and fast cooking too, I don't add any sauce because the Spam is salty enough, I just add a touch of olive oil when adding the rice and the meal is plentiful too.

I have never ate SPAM.

I have no idea what Figgy Pudding is. Looks like a congealed glob of ?

We don't eat much food out of a can anyways.

I live in Austin, MN  home of the Hormel Company where Spam originated.  It was originally born and made for the troops in WWII because unopened it would last forever.  We grew up eating Spam in every way you can imagine.  Some love it to this day and some like me do not like it at all. It's best fried and really pretty good in place of ham in scalloped potatoes and ham.  We have a Spam Museum here where you can buy everything from a Spam fly swatter to sweatshirts.
