Seems like all there are, are contests---- not a fan. I like the PBS shows too. I use to watch Julia all the time as a kid. In my area there was the Galloping Gourment too. And Iron Chef was fun when it was new. But I do love Alton Browns cut throat kitchen. He gets so evil with all the stuff he throws at those poor chefs.

I only watch The Pioneer Woman and Tricia Yearwood shows. I dislike the contest shows, and most other of their shows.

I watch Trisha Yearwood and once in a while Pioneer Womanand Ina Garten. I do watch the Seasonal Baking Contests. And like most of you watch the Create Network---they had an old Julia Child (the original from her early PBS days---fun to watch), Lidia, Martha Stewart, America's Test Kitchen
I HATE the Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins & Dives, The Ginormous Food ---and all the other tons of shows where the chefs go to restaurants and taste food---BORING and NOT ENTERTAINING! I dont like Giada or Bobby Flay either! And stopped watching all the Chopped Shows and their new versions---hate Cook Vs Con or Faker vs Baker just more Chopped---The Food Network's programming is pretty dismal!

I watched Cooks vs. Cons once - if I could figure it out, you know it's all scripted if professional chefs, cooks and judges couldn't do it. Never bothered with Baker vs. Faker.
The one show I absolutely hate is Cutthroat Kitchen - it's just downright mean.
The only shows I watch anymore are The Pioneer Woman, Trisha Yearwood and the baking championship shows.
The baking championship show started to lose appeal when they brought Jeff Dunham on as host of the Halloween series and then Jesse Palmer for the spring series. I don't know what qualified either one of them as a host for a baking show and don't get me started on Valerie Bertinelli on the kids version.

I do too....I miss the cooking shows from years ago!

The only two cooking shows I watch anymore are Lidia Bastianich on PBS and Valerie Bertinelli on the Food Network. And Top Chef is my favorite cooking competetion show.
I watch Chopped from time to time. But it is not the same anymore.
I do not watch any of the shows with kids. Do not get more wrong, I love children, I just do not want to see them on every cooking show known to man kind. I just read that Top Chef will now have a kids one with Curtis Stone as the host.

@Group 5 minus 1 I rarely watch it, too ("The Pioneer Woman," and maybe another show or two on occasion). That's why I got to watching cooking videos on YouTube (not as much nowadays). While online videos aren't always made by professionals, or are fancy, I swear, I've learned so much from people over the last couple of years. YouTube picked up where the cooking channels have really dropped the ball. I've gone on to research cooking info and recipes as well, which has been fun and helpful. I used to watch Paula Deen and Emeril Lagasse a lot in years past. They're still found in other outlets nowadays, thank goodness. I just recently discovered, "Positively Paula."
