Evine has a 5 qt flip pan with extra clear lid for TSV. $50 w/ $10 shipping. If you buy it you get $2 off Deb's new Flip Pan cookbook. Pretty colors! I'm tempted, but I've never bought anything from Evine before.

If you'll stop by my house, I'll give you one free.  I look at it and say to myself, "what was I thinking".  Why in the world do I need to flip a pan?  If I want something turned, I have tools for that.  It'll go in my next Salvation Army donation.

I don't "flip" with my flip pan, but absolutely adore it.  I use it often because it functions as a nice low pressure cooker, is perfect for soups and stews.  The lid with the grids is great alone for cooking my steaks and chops and such and clean-up is a breeze.

A nice little perk for me too is how easy it is to drain browned burger using this pan.

@Buck-i-Nana.  Soups, stews?  How to keep the liquid from draining out when you open the pan?  Mine isn't as large as the monster they had today but it's not itty bitty either.  Mine wouldn't hold much soup.

I have 4 of them, but use the 5 qt. "Big Mama" & the 3½ qt. "Junior" the most.  I use them as low pressure cookers & (of course) don't flip them.

The 2 others Ijust use as regular fry pans, though of the 2, I use the small 10" round one more than the other.  I have no trouble using a spatula to flip over-easy eggs, so I don't flip anything in the flip pans & made a mess when I tried!  I think you can only flip things that don't have much liquid or grease in them.

@Kachina624 - I have the large flip-pan, like the one this is about.  There is a good sized lip on the hinge side with a drain hole that lets the fluid run back into the pan.  You just have to open the lid slowly.  That's also what I use to drain my ground beef.  It's nice as the pan itself isn't very heavy and easy for me to manage.

I've joined the FB page. I'm looking forward to some nice one-pot veggie dishes. The low pressure cooking and easy clean-up are of interest to me. Plus, I want to use my induction cooktop more! That big red pot should brighten up my kitchen!

@Lacey1 I have two of them and love both.  I too do not use them as flip pans and both of my sets also came with glass lids.

I use the smaller one pretty much every day and the 3 1/2 quart for larger portions.

Both cook beautifully and clean up great too.

When I bought my original one, I had made a bone in chicken dish in the oven and when I pulled it out it still wasn't cooked through but I didn't want to leave it in the oven any longer so I placed the recipe in the flip pan and the low pressure cooking really made the dish come together.  I couldn't recommend these pans more and I hope you enjoy yours as well!  Smiley Happy
