Fissler Findings! (Pressure cooker)

The Fissler came yesterday and has been used twice, doing a great job both times. The quality of the stainless and the fit and finish on the pieces is great. The SS is really heavy and has a beautiful polish.

I cooked two big thick pork chops in the little flat 2.5 qt. pan and they fit perfectly along with kraut and apples. They browned nicely and cleanup was very easy. The top cooks at low and high pressure, and you also have a glass lid, a steamer basket and a rack it sits on.

I made a pot of pinto beans in the 6.5 quart pot and they came out great after about 35 minutes and a natural release. They weren't mushy but were well cooked (I lost track of time to the minute doing laundry!).

The pots hardly make any noise at all while cooking. I'll read the instructions this weekend to find if I did anything wrong. (Nothing exploded and the food was good so I guess I didn't stray too far from the instructions I didn't read.) I will let you know more if I see anything unusual in that. The cookbook that came with it is small but has some very good sounding recipes and not just the usual either. Packing was great--well done in a nice box and easy to open and get the things out--didn't require getting the vac out or dusting afterward!

It is a big improvement over the other stovetop pc's I have had. I was very pleased.
