I was surprised that it did not come with a booklet about cooking times and cleaning, etc.  It has a sliding temperature adjuster, but no information about how to use it.  It doesn't seem that such a popular product wouldn't have more information provided.

I watched some YouTube videos that were very helpful and used common sense.  So far everything I've cooked with it has turned out beautifully, with the exception of the grilled cheese sandwich.  I guess because mine is a larger grill, the top grill is quite heavy and the sandwich turned out more squished than I would have liked.

I'm surprised the G.F. uses numbers rather than specific temperature markings on the heat dial.

Other than that, do you like and recommend the product?

Happy cooking!    Smiley Happy

I love it.  I resisted buying one for years, thinking I didn't need it.. and probably didn't, but I really do like it.  I made tilapia last night - it was super quick and delicious.

Re: Finally bought a George Foreman grill after all these years.

I had one of the tiny original ones, and used it for grilled cheese sandwiches mostly. Thought meat in it was dry and tasteless. I want a real grill with fire for cooking meat I'm calling 'grilled'.

Got rid of it as it was just taking up space.

I have the original small one from maybe 15 years ago, still in great shape.  I like doing meats on it as you have no splattering like on a grill pan, in the house.

@house_cat

I'm sorry you couldn't find the link.  I copied the page 4 cooking times for you.  Hope this helps.

cooking times & food safety
Use these times purely as a guide. They’re for fresh or fully defrosted food. When
cooking frozen foods, add 2-3 minutes for seafood, and 3-6 minutes for meat and
poultry, depending on the thickness and density of the food.
Check food is cooked through before serving. If in doubt, cook it a bit more.
Cook meat, poultry, and any derivatives (mince, burgers, etc.) till the juices run clear.
Cook fish till the flesh is opaque throughout.
When cooking pre-packed foods, follow any guidelines on the package or label.

I'm sorry. I guess I wasn't clear. I couldn't find the link on my own, but the one you posted works fine. I downloaded the booklet.  Thank you.

I'm glad the link worked for you.  I wish they had provided more recipes, but I guess they don't  want to give away too many of their secrets.  Smiley Happy Smiley Wink
