Thanks...I just saved some money. I will go online. Since I just bought Barbara Bixby ring ! My DH just said its small, well I said we are working out and we need small portions !! Did anyone order the Apple Green ???

I think maybe it was that FrostGuard Shield thing? I didn't need it, but I remember Lisa selling it as a special.

Its sad I am such a sucker... But DH was actually watching in the morning with me and said it looks interesting buy it.

Creamy One Pot Macaroni and Cheese

  • Total Time: 25 mins

About This Recipe

"This is a rice cooker recipe.This is from Wolfgang Puck,"

  • 2 cups uncooked dry elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese ( or mix)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash cayenne pepper
Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients and place into the rice cooker, close lid and set to on.
  2. When unit switches to keep warm, open lid, stir, close lid and leave on keep warm for at least five more minutes.
  3. Serve hot.
  4. Cheeses that are nice, are a mixture of mild cheddar,fontina,and mozzarella.

Yep, that's it I love that brown, crusty bottom it gets. I just turn the insert upside down on a platter. Yummy!

Oatmeal Cooked in Rice Cooker

  • Prep Time: 5 mins
  • Total Time: 30 mins
  • Servings: 2-3
Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 cups large flake rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons wheat bran
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/3 cup raisins or 1/3 cup other dried fruit or 1/3 cup fresh fruit (optional)
  • 2 1/2 cups water
Directions
  1. Put all the ingredients in a rice cooker
  2. Turn it on
  3. In 25 to 30 minutes, stir & serve!
  4. Optional: sprinkle with a little ground flaxseed, sugar & light cream or a dash of maple syrup & crunchy chopped walnuts

Just be aware that 2 cups of macaroni is probably too much for the TSV, as it only holds 1-1/2 cups of rice tops. It will be interesting when the cooker and the recipes (including the ones in the cooker) arrive to see if/how/how much they are adjusted. Sounds yummy!
