I got my cream cheese Paczkis last week.

I wouldn't wish them on a dog.

I was so excited when I got home with my box.

It was dry, hard, horrible!

I was so very disappointed.

I have never gotten a bad Paczki in my life.

Sad.

I wish I could find some in my immediate area.  I have fond memories of my Babci making them.  She would make them while we were over visiting so they were warm and so tender.  She always made hers with golden raisins in the dough instead of a filling.  We would have a cup of tea with the donuts.  So so good!

It appears to be like a filled cream doughnut.

Looks delicious!

😭😟😒 Ohhhhh I miss Paczki...we are Polish/Ukrainian/Lithuanian and my grandmother had them on her dessert table from Milkulski's Bakery in Baltimore alllll the time. They are so good! I now live in an area where there aren't many Eastern European traditions and the bakeries here never heard of them...my dziadek loved the raspberry filled. We loved the custard ones...you enjoy those @raspberrygal  you lucky duck!

A wonderful neighbor growing up who was born in Poland made the most scrumptious paczki filled with lekvar ( prune butter ) .  OMG, SO GOOD, but hard to find now.

Yes!  we have 3 local bakeries that have paczki, so my hubby picked some up.   So good!  My favorite is always the basic white cream, but one of the bakeries has a prune filling which is good.   Such a treat!

@Dusty1 how disappointing!  Wish I could have you over for coffee and a paczki!  We only got a half dozen, but they're pretty big.  We go tthem on Monday and they were so soft.  I really shouldn't eat them, but it's only once a year.

@PA Mom-mom glad you got Fastnacht donuts.

My husband was able to buy our fastnacht donuts. The bakery had run out of cinnamon and sugar and they were baking more. The line was out the door the entire time he was there. And they had 7 people working.
