I have yet to have any of mine 'fail'  knock on wood as I have 4 large sets and a divided server.  I use it all the time.

Q is no different from any retail store.  I can go to Williams Sonoma once a year and most of the stuff is the same as the last time with exceptions of their holiday stuff.

I don't even have any shopping channels programmed on my tv.  If I'm going to be around I'll tune in on Sunday ITKWD.   I spend very little time actually watching.   Things I purchase are things I see on recently aired on the internet.

I buy a lot here and I buy a lot on Amazon, I can't just go to a store and find stuff here.

Different strokes, you couldn't give me fiestaware but that doesn't mean a thing to people who love it, my best friend has some and she does.  I'm happy she has something she likes so much.  She's happy I like my temptations.

I LOVE Temp-tions and look forward to Tara's shows! Some of her new pieces are fabulous. Keep on keeping on, Tara! Love what you do!

Wow! I think you are the only person I ever 'met' besides myself that isn't fond of Fiestaware. I love the quality of it, and there are so many colors to choose from, and it is made in the USA. So I want to love it , but I don't.

It is just too plain for my taste. But, I'm glad it is popular and keeping jobs here. Wish I did love it!

Mom in Ohio~ I can't figure out how to reply to your response to me. Glad that you were able to buy your Lidia Bastianich bakeware in the as is section. I got all of mine there too. I use it almost daily. I even bought for my DIL, and sister. And, backups for me. It is sooooo wonderful to use, isn't it! Smiley Happy

When I first moved in with husband almost 40 years ago, he had all these cheap melmac dishes his sister had given him.  Everyone of them was a different color and that's what fiesta reminds me of.   I didn't like them then and I'm sure that's why I don't like the style.   LOL, I sent my kid off to college with corningware.

I still have my original Corningware bakers, and have added so many from thrift stores over the years.

I set up houskeeping with Corelle dishes over 30 years ago, and still use those dishes today as our everyday dishes. You just can't beat Corelle (or Corningware). It doesn't hurt to leave it sit in a sink full of hot water to soak, but don't dare do that with stoneware or it will craze. It goes into the microwave and freezer and never has to be brought to temp for fear of cracking. It can be handled by kids and men without worry of chipping (although when it does break, it shatters into a million tiny slilvers, but that is rare, I've only lost a couple of pieces in all these years, from dropping them just right).

I liked my corelle and corning so much that I have built collections of them in other patterns over the years, and change them out with the seasons like I do my Temp-tations.

@Mominohio   Amazingly he still has most of it after 14 years.   He's lost some through moving so much and changing roomates.   LOL, everytime I go there he has some new stuff and has lost some.   And I know he didn't buy it.   I'm sure the other's parents think the same thing.

His patterns.

Pretty good track record for a boy! I have added that butterfly gold pattern recently, to my collection. I like it with the woodland brown for fall.

I have a 'hope chest' of sorts for my son. Several tubs in the basement full of good old made in America household and kitchen items. He has complete sets of corelle, corning, farberware and other things.

All are older things I used, or bought at thrift stores and auctions. His sets are huge and complete and in like new condition. I'm actually going to have a hard time giving up the spice of life corningware and the amazing huge set of Farberware when he leaves. But he shouldn't have to buy a single thing for the kitchen. Ever. Well, until he gets some wife that wants all new, then I'm taking back that good old stuff!

LOL, sounds like me.  I set him up with a ton of stuff, and I still bring him things when we go visit.  I spend a lot of time cooking there and I want to be comfortable when I do.   He just laughs at me.  It probably is funny as he has more money than we do.

I agree. When 2 pieces of the Temptations I bought cracked and crazed on me I gave it all to Good Will. It is no longer food safe when it does that.   Who knows even if the glaze on them has lead in it, being that they are made in China. Tara won't be getting anymore of my money. The kitchen shows  are not like they used to be. All you see is Temptations and Pre-made food, that is so expensive. I guess I won"t be tuning in anymore. BORING!!!!
